Based in East London, I spent over five years working as a documentary event photographer, shooting fashion and large-scale events. From photographing Prince Charles to Gucci, my work always requires me to shoot discreetly and tell a story. Every shoot is unique and I truly love what I do for a living. In 2016 however, I took a break to embark on my biggest job yet, Motherhood.
During those early days with my daughter, I realised how lucky I was to be able to capture everyday moments with my camera: the newborn snuggles, the colic-fuelled tears, the mess of weaning. Sunshine and smiles, tears and tantrums, I wanted to remember it all. Inspired by my very own little muse, I felt compelled to offer a photography service which captures the true essence of family life.
I love to seek out beautiful, storytelling moments, the ones which happen naturally but mean so much; the proud, tired smiles of new parents, the loving gaze of a mother settling her baby into a feed. I’m always looking for the subtle details that might otherwise be missed, those in-between moments that tell your story.
I love working on location. Your home and your favourite places tell me so much about you; it’s all part of your story. Setting the scene is my favourite way to encourage a truly great photography session. My shoots are playful experiences. I love to plan age appropriate activities with you, whether it's bathing a newborn in the kitchen sink or feeding the ducks with a toddler, you'll be so swept up in the occasion, you won’t even notice I’m there, capturing it all.
I'm inspired by the sweetest and most subtle of moments and love to capture the stories of families being themselves. This is where the magic happens. I'm a people-watcher by nature, so I'll only ever offer a little gentle direction. I love to keep things real and natural; there won't be any bright flashes or loud direction from me. I'm always looking for the perfect way to capture your memories, without interfering too much. I’ll simply listen, watch and photograph those moments that will make your heart burst.
